Her Story

On August 16, 2006, it was my second day in D.C. and was also my birthday.  My friend, Matt Coble came out to Mexicali Blues to celebrate and brought his friend, Jon.  Six months later, Matt again brought Jon to a party I hosted at my house.  Jon told me he was having a party a couple weeks later and that I should come.  (Found out later that he planned the party after the fact so he could invite me to something.)  We've been partying together ever since.

His Story (by Her)

 

I met this girl who did taxes during tax season.  She pretty much told me she couldn't hang out for two months.  (Not usually a good sign to start a relationship.)  Then I found out she had the same first and middle name as my mom.  That was a little weird.  Then I found out she had the same birthday as my sister.  What a coincidence?  Then as we were driving to my home town together for the first time a song came on the radio, When You Say Nothing At All by Alison Krauss, and I said I thought it would maybe be my first dance at my wedding.  She said she always thought the same thing.  After sitting in awkward silence for a little while, we had a nice weekend in Lewistown, and have been taking road trips together ever since.
